Wedding Etiquette

Instead of the old tradition of the Bride's family, the Groom's family and finally the Bride and Groom themselves receiving an equal third allocation of the wedding invitations each, it has become much more common place for the allocation of invites to be in porportion of the contribution made to the cost of the wedding.

The wording of your invitations will reflect this and will also match the tome of the wedding, be it tradidtional, formal, civil or modern. To help you make the decision on how to word your invitations, please refer to the examples below.

Traditional Invitation with the Bride's parents as hosts.
With this design, the guests full names should be handwritten in the top left hand corner of the invite, eg Mr and Mrs James Thompson.
""Wedding Stationery Insert - traditional
Wedding Stationery Wording - traditional"" An alternative format is to place the guests' names in the wording itself, but there is a variety of ways your invitation can be worded to suit your personal preferences.
Bride's parents (divorced) as hosts. ""Wedding Stationery Insert (Brides' parents are divorced)
""Wedding Stationery Wording - other relatives than parents hosting the Wedding Other relations hosting the wedding.
If the wedding hosts have no family connection. ""Wedding Stationery Wording - Wedding hosted by non-family
""Wedding Stationery Insert - Wedding hosted by Bride and Groom Bride & Groom as hosts.

The variations are endless. We can discuss the wording to suit your requirements.

The card inserts are computer-generated, so you will also have a choice of the fonts, colours and styles best suited to match in with the theme of your wedding.
